Wisconsin’s Supported Decision-Making Law took effect in Spring of 2018. Supported Decision-Making is one alternative to guardianship that allows people with disabilities and older adults to retain their legal rights.

This statewide training will cover:

What Supported Decision-Making is
What alternatives to guardianship are available in Wisconsin
How to use Supported Decision-Making strategies, both as an alternative to guardianship and within existing guardianships
Legal responsibilities of Supported Decision-Making
Stories of how Wisconsin residents have used Supported Decision-Making

This statewide training is for:
