Every five years, the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities (BPDD) submits a plan to the federal government focused on improving the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) through full inclusion and participation in all aspects of community life.

After collecting ideas from over 500 people, BPDD has drafted a 2027-2031 State Plan. You can read the plain language and full version using the buttons below.

There are three ways you can share comments:

  1. Join a listening session to hear about the plan and to share your thoughts.
    1. April 29, 2026, 5:30-6:30pm: registration link
    2. May 5th, 2026, 12:00-1:00pm: registration link
  1. Fill out a short survey before May 15, 2026: English survey; Spanish survey; Hmong survey
  2. Mail or email written comments to us by May 15, 2026:
