What’s the word is a column where we feature a different leader in Wisconsin living with a disability. “What’s the Word?” is an opportunity to hear directly from self-advocates about what’s important to them. This month’s article comes from BPDD board Vice Chair, Felicia Clayborne.

“I’m so excited to be able to have the freedom to decorate my apartment how I want and to have more control over my day. While I know that I need some supports to live as independently as possible, I don’t think those supports should come at the cost of my decision-making and self-determination!”
