We are always looking for new board members who want to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities in Wisconsin. Once appointed by the Governor, board members are eligible to serve up to two four-year terms.
The board meets six times per year, with four of the meetings held in downtown Madison, one held in Milwaukee and a board retreat that takes place in a different part of the state every year. Board members are reimbursed for travel expenses and may be eligible to receive a stipend for attending board meetings. Some board members represent the BPDD at other conferences and events not just in Wisconsin, but all over the country.
