BPDD is thrilled to share the final report from the year-long work of the Governor’s Task Force on Caregiving, with recommendations for supporting both family caregivers and paid direct support staff. Both BPDD board members and staff served on the Task Force, which included 29 members from across Wisconsin. More than half were either caregivers or get supports from direct care workers.<\/p>\n
What can YOU do? <\/strong><\/p>\n Read the report recommendations, then contact both the Governor’s office and your state legislature with your story of how important compensated and supported care providers are. Many of these recommendations will require inclusion in the Governor’s budget and will need to pass the State Legislature. Let’s make this the year of the caregiver!
