If a worker needs additional support above and beyond what is typically provided by an employer, the supported employment agency partners with the business to put formal co-worker supports in place, for which the business is reimbursed, rather than sending in a job coach. This results in a <em>win-win-win<\/em> for the employer, the worker and the agency:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employers and co-workers have a more direct relationship with the worker<\/li>\n<li>The worker experiences greater independence and less stigmatization<\/li>\n<li>The agency can free up and redirect job coaching resources to get more people jobs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This webinar will provide an overview of the Board for People with Developmental Disabilities\u2019 statewide Partners with Business initiative, the Partners with Business model, and the tools, resources, and technical assistance available to help service providers implement best practices and negotiate formal\/paid co-worker supports.<\/p>\n<p>Watch the 6-minute introduction to Partners with Business here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HQIoqZ71jwk\">www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HQIoqZ71jwk<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Two webinar dates are available. 100 participants maximum.
